Audi Produces Diesel Fuel Out of Water and Air
Car producer Audi has produced a fuel for internal combustion engines made with only two items: water and carbon dioxide.
They called it "e-diesel", and with the push of a pump can be in somebody's Audi vehicle.
In order to produce one ton of fuel, this process reportedly requires capture of 3.2 tons of carbon dioxide. That in turn requires 200-300 kilowatt hours of electricity and 1,500 to 2,000 kilowatt hours of thermal energy per ton of carbon dioxide.
